Survey Studies Routinely Conducted at UMBC

National Survey of Student Engagement (conducted on a 2 year on, 2 year off basis)   NSSE collects information about student participation in programs and activities at UMBC that focus on learning and personal development. Graduating Student Report Each year, the Career Services Center surveys UMBC students about their post-graduation plans relating to employment and graduate school.

Alumni Survey  A one-year follow-up of recent UMBC Bachelor’s degree recipients, this survey is conducted by Institutional Research every three years, as previously mandated by MHEC.  Survey questions include items such as updates on work and subsequent postsecondary enrollment, overall satisfaction with UMBC and degree major, satisfaction with preparation for work and/or postsecondary enrollment, including graduate study.

Academic Integrity Survey Survey of students and faculty conducted periodically through the International Center for Academic Integrity regarding their observations, experiences, and beliefs about academic integrity at UMBC.

National College Health Assessment A nationally recognized research survey by the American College Health Association to assist institutions in collecting precise data about students’ health habits, behaviors, and perceptions.
